Portsmouth Schools Federal Credit Union (PSFCU) is committed to protecting our members’ privacy. It is the policy of PSFCU to hold member information in confidence, subject to applicable legal requirements and standards.
Accuracy of Information
PSFCU will take reasonable precautions to protect the accuracy and reliability of your member information; however, as a member of PSFCU, you are responsible for updating your member record from time to time in order to assure its accuracy. PSFCU will respond to your request to update your information on your account as quickly as possible.
When Information May Be Shared
PSFCU will share information that is absolutely necessary. Information will be shared with its affiliates and certain vendors with whom it has contractual relationships, to provide specific products and services such as insurance, credit reporting and account statements. These vendors are prohibited from using member information for any purpose other than that for which they have been contracted. The businesses we partner with will offer products designed to enhance our members’ economic well being.
Personal financial information such as your account balance or loan information may be shared under the following circumstances:
- When such disclosures is in compliance with the law, government agencies or court orders.
- Information is provided to help complete a transaction that the member has authorized. (Written permission required from member.)
- Information is supplied to a vendor working on behalf of the credit union.
- It is a consumer-reporting agency such as the credit bureaus.
